In 1992, Frank & Dayne were asked to become partners in LaFayette Funeral Home in Fayetteville. It was not until 2011 that the Crumpler Family took complete ownership of the business. Since taking full ownership of the business and the property surrounding the business, the Crumpler Family remodeled the funeral home to a more modern professional building. Pictures of the inside of the funeral home have been featured in funeral-related magazines. Rick Wilhide, the husband of Frank & Dayne's daughter, Kalen Crumpler Wilhide, manages the LaFayette Funeral Home in Fayetteville. In 1997 an opportunity arose for Frank & Dayne to purchase an existing funeral home in Red Springs.
After purchasing the property, he began reconstructing the building into a beautiful establishment. After becoming licensed, Frank & Dayne's youngest child, Kalen Crumpler Wilhide manages the office in Red Springs along with her husband, Rick. In 2011, Frank & Dayne's grandson, Philip Holmes began his apprenticeship and his education in funeral service. Philip and his wife, Amy currently reside in Pinebluff. The Crumpler Legacy first began when Frank Crumpler of Sampson County always had a passion to be in funeral service. After graduating from the Cincinnati School of Embalming, he began working with Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. While working with Jernigan-Warren, he met Dayne Capps of Rockfish. They began their courtship and were eventually married. In 1960, Frank & Dayne opened up Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford, which serves as the main office to this day. Frank & Dayne's son, Kel Crumpler serves as the manager of the office.
